Scenic Acres Neighbourhood

Scenic Acres is located in Calgary’s northwest, less than 15 miles from the downtown core. The neighbourhood was established in 1981, and is now home to more than 9,000 people. Thanks to the new Crowfoot Station LRT extension, it's easier than ever to get around the city, which makes this area very appealing to buyers.

More than 90% of the current housing stock consists of detached houses, though there is a handful of townhomes and condos to be found as well. The two hockey arenas located in Scenic Acres are jointly owned by Scenic Acres Community Association and the community associations of Varsity and Silver Springs. The Scenic Acres’ association is host to the yearly Stampede Breakfast and the Bubblegum Dance Boogie. The southern part of Scenic Acres real estate is close to soccer, tennis and other recreational amenities such as ball diamonds and soccer pitches on two school sites.

Scenic Acres Neighbourhood Schools

Families who buy homes in Scenic Acres community will have several schools to choose from including Monsignor Doyle Elementary School on Scurfield Drive, St. Vincent de Paul junior high school in Varsity and St. Francis on Northmount Drive. All three are separate schools. Belvedere Park Elementary across the Bowness River and Thomas B. Riley Junior High and Bowness Senior High are all public school options.
