When based solely on the Provincial Achievement Tests, Calgary schools outperformed Edmonton schools.

Below are the top three schools in Calgary. According to the Fraser Institute, these schools earned ten points out of a possible ten points based both on their test scores and other data.

Sunalta School

Established in 1910, Sunalta School is the oldest school to make this list released by the Frasier Institute, and the only public school.
