- To Whom It May Concern, If you are thinking of buying or selling a home in Calgary, I would highly recommend hiring Justin Havre to do the job. My wife Tanya and I met Justin last year when we went to see one of his listings in northwest Calgary. We found his soft spoken, easy going and no-pressure approach very refreshing. We explained that we had been thinking about listing our current home and were looking for something newer and bigger, but we had already chosen a realtor to work with. Justin went on to tell us about the service he offers to his clients. We were most impressed by his online presence and how he has embraced and leveraged the technological capabilities of today’s competitive housing market. Being in careers that rely heavily on technology, we were previously frustrated with realtor websites and the lack of adoption of technology by realtors in general. Later after taking a tour of Justin’s websites, we realized he wasn’t kidding when it came to using the internet to promote his client’s homes, and it became an easy decision to ask Justin to represent us in our sale. Although our 1962 bungalow had had a complete ‘top-to-bottom’ renovation with all high end finishings, we knew our house was going to be a tough sell because we would be setting a new high ‘dollar-per-square-foot’ for our area and landing on the right price was not going to be easy. Justin worked very closely with us to help determine the right selling price for the house. He then tailored a marketing plan for us that suited our property perfectly. Firstly, he hired the local franchisee for ‘Open2view.com’, Dustin Mifflin, to takes photos. Without question, Dustin’s pictures were of magazine quality and we were extremely impressed. Justin then used these amazing photos to create a beautiful 12 page color glossy brochure for our home. Within a few days, our house was posted on the MLS website and also 4 additional high quality websites including www.JustinHavre.com, www.JustListedCalgary.ca, www.CalgaryRealEstateBroker.com and www.Open2View.com In the following weeks, we found Justin to be very professional in day-to-day dealings. We also quickly got the feeling he was looking out for OUR best interests during the selling process. He was very diligent in keeping us informed of feedback from showings, website ‘hits’ for our house and of general market activity. Prior to working with Justin, this had been something that we found lacking in other realtors. Justin was on top of things and he instilled a confidence in us that we had never before experienced in selling a home. When we got word that we had an offer coming in, Justin immediately went to work for us and contacted two other potential buyers that had previously expressed interest. One of these parties came for another look the same day; and we ended up getting competing offers in what we thought was a quiet market. The final result was we got the sale, and thanks to Justin’s persistence, we got $20,000 over list price! We are convinced that Justin’s marketing package combined with the wide internet exposure is what generated many showings and was ultimately what sold our home – we were very, very pleased. Needless to say, using Justin for the purchase of our new home was a no-brainer. He set up detailed searches with our ‘must haves’ and ‘nice to haves’ and we were immediately ‘tapped’ into the market getting only the new listings that fit our criteria. With his guidance, we were not only successful in finding exactly what we were looking for, but incredibly, we got our house for a whopping 22% under its original list price. We were ecstatic! We have bought and sold many homes over the years and we have finally found a realtor we would recommend to our friends.
