Which Summer Obstacle Races will be Held in Calgary?

Calgary has some fantastic races for athletes of all kinds to get involved with. Rather, you are a professional runner who runs for competition or if you are just starting out. If you enjoy running for fitness then you are in luck. There are loads of obstacle races that will test your skills and further them. Here are some races for you to consider in the Calgary area.

Woman 2 Warrior

This race takes place on May 30th, and participants must gather a minimum of $300 to enter. The money will go towards helping Easter Seals Alberta and the Children’s Hospital Aid Society. The event is not typically held in Calgary, but it is this year.

The race is not timed, but is filled with fun obstacles to complete. The race only allows women participants. Obstacles along the five-kilometre course will push your abilities in strength, balance and agility. The race will take place at Riley Park and SAIT.

City Chase Calgary

The City Chase Calgary will be held on June 6th, and has a $150 registration fee for a team of two. You hook up with a trusted friend, and race to different “ChasePoints.” This race is much like the Amazing Race, as you will get clues from different points within the city. You will travel about 20 kilometres.

Colour Me Rad

Colour Me Rad will take place on June 27th and entry fee cost between $40 to $60. You will be dashed with colour throughout the race. Green, yellow, purple and pink liquids, powders and gels will send you into colour overload. The course is a total of five-kilometres, and music will be played throughout.
