Outdoor yoga becomes a very popular activity when the warmer weather rolls into Calgary. There are plenty of great choices if you want to get out in the sun as you do sun salutations. Here are some of the top choices throughout Calgary for outdoor yoga.

Junction 9 Yoga & Pilate - 919 9 Avenue SE

The yoga classes at Junction 9 are held on the rooftop patio. This provides amazing views of the downtown area, along with plenty of sunshine. You can enjoy the shade under the umbrellas, when necessary. If it gets too hot or becomes rainy, the classes are moved inside.

Samadhi Yoga - 485 8 Street SW

From June 18th to September 27th, you can enjoy yoga in the park from Samadhi Yoga. Classes are held every Sunday at 3pm, as long as the weather cooperates. You can meet at the studio and the only charge is a $10 donation for the Red Cross.

Marianne's Yoga - 510 77 Avenue SE (Calgary Farmer's Market)

If you want to enjoy a one-hour Vinyase Flow class, you can head to the Calgary Farmer's Market at 9am on Saturdays. The class costs $10 per person and will provide fun outdoor yoga.

East Village Outdoor Yoga - 553 Riverfront Avenue SE

Enjoy a little flow with your lunch at The East Village Experience Centre. The class is free and held at noon on Tuesdays.

Hotel Arts and HotShop Yoga - 119 12 Avenue SW

HotShop Yoga provides plenty of fun with the poolside yoga classes at the Hotel Arts. The classes are held on Saturdays and Sundays at 9am and the cost is $15 per person. They will provide mats for you.
