Fantastic mountain views, breathtaking lake scenery and a surplus of wildlife grace cyclist who take on the challenge of the Lake Minnewanka Loop. Parking is available just past the entrance to the park at Lake Minnewanka, but do take a moment to stop and explore the Cascade Ponds before unloading the bike.

One can start the loop from Johnson Lake and go counterclockwise or begin at Lake Minnewanka and tour the loop clockwise to avoid a couple of huge climbs, but either way will suffice to explore these spectacular landscapes. There are plenty of places along the loop to take ‘side' journeys by foot down trails to experience less traveled spaces, but be sure to carry bear spray when out and about on the back trails for safety.
