Calgary provides a number of great spots for dinner. However, when you're looking for something a bit different, you just have to know where to go. Here are a few of the quirkiest places for dinner in the city.

Last Chance Saloon - 555 Jewell Street, Wayne

This spot is a bit of a drive, but it's a great choice for dinner. You will enjoy this off-the-beaten-path restaurant with plenty of great choices on the menu. They offer up an interesting and they have become one of the favourites for weekend motorcycle riders.

Pizza Bob's Classic Pie - 2610 Kensington Road NW

This pizza joint is a bit different than others because they provide a different type of atmosphere. Thursdays feature punk and garage bands on a small stage, while karaoke is found here on Fridays.

Blackfoot Diner - 1840 9 Avenue SE

This is a truck stop and open 24.7. You will find plenty of interesting dishes on the menu and the decor is straight out of the 1950s. The jukebox boot tables are interesting ad there's always plenty of interesting people watching found here.

Kane's Harley Diner - 1209 9 Avenue SE

This dealership found in Inglewood provides a 1950s-style diner. It's decorated in motorcycle memorabilia and provides all types of dishes from grilled peanut butter and banana to liver and onions.

The Mermaid Inn - 727 11 Avenue SW

Known as a cultural gem of the area, The Mermaid Inn is the home of the Danish Canadian Club of Calgary. You will find large buffet lunches and dinners here and plenty of fishy dishes on the menu.

All of these restaurants provide something a bit quirky. Whether it's strange food or old-style decor, they all provide a unique feel for an afternoon or night out.
