'Twas the Night 2014 is returning for the 4th year to Calgary. The event is hosted by CORE and will take place on November 27th. It's the perfect way to get ready for the Christmas season and support a great cause.
You can expect to see the Christmas tree lighting, prizes, live music and more. The free event will offer discounts to local retailers to help you kick off your holiday shopping. Here is what you can expect at this year's 'Twas the Night 2014 event.
What the Event Will Include
Taking place on November 27th from 6:30pm-10pm, the event will take place at the CORE. It's going to be a nice of glitz and glam, shopping and entertainment. The theme is 1960's retro-chic glam. It's a free event but they are accepting donations for the YMCA Calgary in hopes of raising $15,000 that night. Most people are donating $10 with their RSVP.
The night will include shopping with pre-Black Friday sales and one night only retailer offers so that you can get all the gifts you need in one night. You'll get to enjoy Canadian jazz crooner and Juno nominated artist, Matt Dusk performing throughout the evening. There will even be a red carpet with TV personality Tanya Kim where you can show off your 60's holiday chic outfits for great prizes.

CORE is the premier downtown shopping centre located at 8th Avenue SW between 2nd Street and 4th Street. There will be free parking at CORE as well as at Holt Renfrew, 529 Ninth Ave, the Courthouse, Centre 10 and Main Entrance.
