Calgary is a city full of events. Whether you love the theatre, music or sports, you can find something to enjoy in January 2015. Here are some of the things you can do throughout the city this month.

Watch the Roughnecks Lacrosse Team

This team will be playing at the Saddledome throughout the month of January. They have a home game on January 24th and will provide plenty of fun throughout the season.

Enjoy some of the Best Curlers in the World

Curling fans will enjoy the fun for January because of the World Financial Group Continental Cup. It will be in Calgary and will include plenty of great curlers at the Markin MAcPhail Centre.

Take in the Banff Film Festival World Tour

From January 11th to February 7th, you can watch all types of adventurous films about climbing, wild places and so much more. This festival will be entertaining and inspiring. You can take in the films at the John Dutton Theatre throughout the month.

Discover Throat Singing

Throat singing is something quite different, but can be very interesting. On January 17th, Tanya Tagaq will be in concert with Nanook of the North. This concert will include a violinist, percussionist and a silent film. It will be held at The Boyce Theatre in Stampede Park.

Dine with the Blue Jays

If you love baseball, you can have lunch with Kevin Pillar, Drew Hutchinson, Aaron Sanchez, Roberto Alomar and Marcus Stroman of the Toronto Blue Jays. They will be coming to Calgary on January 22nt and for $150 per person; you can have lunch with the starts at Fairmont Palliser.

There will be plenty of other events happening in Calgary during January of 2015. These are just a few of the more unique choices.
