Upcoming Holiday Events Throughout Calgary

HolidaysThe holiday season is nearly here and there will be plenty of great events to enjoy. From holiday shows to dinners, there's quite a variety on the calendar this year. Here's a look at a few of the best events for the holiday season in Calgary.

Once Upon a Christmas

Celebrating Christmas the old-fashioned way is possible at Heritage Park this year with the Once Upon a Christmas show. This event will start on November 22nd and run until December 21st. It will starts with a breakfast buffet at the Wainwright Hotel and the Gunn's Dairy Barn and continue with carolers, a horse-drawn wagon ride and the opportunity to enjoy the historical homes throughout the area. The park also provides model train displays, Santa, Gingerbread Decorations and More.

This event will run from 9:30am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays during the dates specified.

Christmas Baking and Bread

If you want to learn how to bake great holiday treats, this event is for you. The course will show you how to make holiday breads, tarts and cookies for all types of parties. It will be held at the ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen on 11 Avenue SW from 3pm to 5pm on November 22nd. The cost is $70 per person.

Distinctly Nanton Christmas Market

This market will be held on November 22nd and will include all types of handmade gifts. Admission is free and the market will run from 10am to 4pm at the Nanton Community Center in Nanton, AB.

Cranston Annual Christmas Bazaar

This Bazaar includes plenty of great homemade crafts and gifts. This will be the fourth year for the Bazaar. It will be held from 10am to 3pm on November 22nd at Century Hall in Calgary.

A Christmas Carol

The popular theatre performance will celebrate its 28th year and will be held from November 27th to December 24th. The show times will be at 7:30pm during the week with additional 2pm shows on weekends. Tickets are $35 per person and the performances will be held at the Epcor Centre for the Performing Arts.

These are just a few of the many upcoming holiday events in Calgary. Many more are on the schedule for the season.
