If you're looking for something completely different in the world of real estate, you may want to consider purchasing a ghost town. There's one available in British Columbia and it's selling for less than $1 million.

The town of Bradian is located close to Whistler and consists of 50 acres with 22 buildings on the land. It's selling for $995,000 and that price will buy you the entire town. Four hours away from Vancouver, it's a winter lover's paradise. For anyone that loves snowmobiling, this would be a perfect place to call home. There is also the potential to set up an operation for snowmobiling in this town that has no residents.

The town is equipped with roads, phone lines and power. There is access to Blackbird Creek and Cadwallader Creek from the town. Most of the homes are still in relatively decent shape but the new owner would have to do some work on the plumbing and infrastructure.

In this part of British Columbia, there is plenty of snow in the winter and the temperature range is quite mild. The temperature is the same as what you would find in Whistler with -5 and -10 degree weather in the winter instead of -30 to -40 degrees like you would find in many other parts of the country. During the summer months there are beautiful lakes and the Bradian Pass surrounding the town.

Bradian is situated in a prime location with snowcapped mountains surrounding it and the town is already zoned as rural residential. This town would be perfect for anyone that has a dream, the time and the resources to bring it back to life. Sometimes ghost towns aren't all about the past but represent a window of opportunity to a bigger and better future.
