Everyone likes to imagine themselves walking around Paris and living the life. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford taking a trip to Paris to live the life of a Parisian. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways you can feel like a Parisian in Calgary without ever actually having to afford a trip to Paris.

French Tour of Rouleauville (in the Mission District)

Take a journey back in time and explore the original French settlement of Calgary. This settlement can be found right in the heart of the Mission District. You might want to brush up on your French before heading over for one of the tours. It is an all-French tour!

The Ultimate Croissant

Your Parisian lifestyle is not complete until you have sinked your teeth into a mouthwatering croissant. Manuel Latruwe is a traditional French bakeshop. It is the perfect place to get a mouthwatering buttery croissant. With a nice steaming cup of coffee, it is the perfect way to start off your day.

The French Macaron

Monplaisir Delicacies is the name of a Belgian chocolate and nougat shop that is new to the downtown area. It is part of The Core. It is the perfect place for you to taste a traditional macaron for the first time. This is a beautiful little boutique that is filled full of all sorts of delicious treats. The best part of this adorable little establishment is the fact that it offers same-day delivery if you cannot make it to the establishment to order your Belgian chocolate and macarons.

You might not actually be able to go to Paris, but that does not mean you cannot enjoy the Paris experience. There is so much French culture, tradition, and cuisine scattered throughout Calgary, it is hard not to feel like you are in Paris.
