There are a lot of exciting things taking place at Spruce Meadows throughout the year. This venue is best-known for its horse jumping competitions but there is so much more to explore here. When the competitions aren't taking place you can visit to say hello to the horses, shop at the Tack Shop or spend some time having a picnic while the kids play in the Spruce Meadows playground.

When there aren't any tournaments going on feel free to go and visit the horses in the barns. One of the friendly grooms will gladly show you around. Sometimes you can watch the horses as they walk and practice their routines. You can sit up in the stands and get a front row seat for these practice times.

During the warmer months you can bring along a picnic basket and enjoy a meal at one of the tables and chairs on-site. Young children will love the playground that can be found right in the centre of Spruce Meadows.

If you love horses you won't want to miss the Tack Shop. This store is open even when tournaments aren’t taking place. You can purchase a variety of horse and equestrian-related products including blankets, clothing, jewelry, stationary and much more. The store is situated in the Riding Hall.

If you're planning a marriage, Spruce Meadows has become a popular venue due to its amazing landscaping. There is a chapel here for riders and during the warmer months you'll be dazzled by the blooming flowers throughout the site. As well, wedding guests won't have to worry about finding a place to park!

At Spruce Meadows you can enjoy great horse jumping tournaments but there are a number of other events held throughout the year that you won't want to miss. Some of these events include a Christmas Market, a fly-fishing event, a dog show, Oktoberfest and much more. At Spruce Meadows, there's something for everybody at any time of the year.
