The BownessFest Canada Day Festival invites people down to the fields at Our Lady of Assumption School dressed in their finest red and white attire to ring in the festivities. This is the debut of what will be an annual event, as it promises to be one of the largest Canada Day festivals in Calgary!

The festival will showcase local talent on the main stage with various performers. Headliners include singer-songwriter Alex Caileigh, guitarist Awab Paracha, local entertainer Gord Barge and the fantastic DJ Skrapbeats and DJ Raven Saphir. Additionally, the winner of this year's Canada Day Poetry Festival will be invited to recite their work during the opening ceremony.

Be sure to come hungry, as the free community BBQ and food truck pavilions won't disappoint the tastebuds. Gear up for family activities, contests, prizes, and more before taking a trek through the local vendor market. The festivities culminate with a huge "O Canada" performance by local musicians and the cutting of a massive Canada Day birthday cake.
