Although Chicago Chophouse has a new location, it is the same great restaurant that the locals have always known and loved. However, they have utilized a few changes, which makes this restaurant even more desirable.
Chicago Chophouse is now located in a historical building on Stephen Avenue. Their new location was once known as the Burns Building, and the atmosphere that this location provides is very fitting. The Burns Building was once a meat packing company owned by the esteem Patrick Burns. With this inspiration, the Chophouse utilized the original design of the Burns meat packing company.
The Chophouse now offers sandwiches to go, which brings in a large crowd at lunch time. There is an area in the front of the shop that has grab and go sandwiches. Business people love this option because they can get a quality lunch when they are in a hurry. With the Chophouse around, there is never a need to skip lunch.
They also added a new chef to the team, Chris Lorenz. He specializes in meats and baking. Chef Lorenz added charcuterie to the menu, as well as hand pulled mozzarella. The restaurant has really come back to its original purpose, which was to provide really good meats. Some of the favourites among patriots include the truffle lobster mac ‘n’ cheese, broccoli barnaise, Beef cheek stroganoff, and duck sausage and toast.
With the move, the owner wanted to keep the “original vibe,” which frequent Chophouse lovers have come to know and love. This restaurant made its debut in 1999, and it continues to provide classic food that presents amazing energy. The move to Stephen Avenue gain more exposure for the Chophouse, and brought with it some great changes. Locals love all that this outstanding restaurant has to offer.
