West Springs Homes
The West Springs real estate area is bordered to the east by Coach Hill, to the west by Springbank Hill, to the north by Cougar Ridge / Canada Olympic Park, and to the south by the Bow Trail. Most West Springs Calgary homes are fully detached but you'll also find some stylish townhouse condos and lowrise condominiums in West Springs.
This is a fairly young community that's still developing but with plenty of conveniences and amenities already in place. With many shops and pathways throughout the area, year round recreation at Olympic Park and just 15 minutes to downtown, it's easy to see why West Springs homes are so popular with Calgary home buyers.
The proximity of Canada Olympic Park (COP) and Paskapoo Slopes mean that West Springs homes have plenty of access to outdoor recreation. The Olympic Hall of Fame, luge track, ski jump, and mountain bike park attract snowboarding, skiing, cross-country mountain biking and other sports enthusiasts all year round.
You'll find a variety of wildlife in the natural grasslands, forests and ravines of the neighbouring Paskapoo slopes. A significant ecological, cultural and archeological site with history dating back at least 8,000 years, much of this area has been preserved by the Canadian Olympic Development Association.
