Understanding the Market Stats
Listing Count
The "listing count" column shows the number of properties for sale in Calgary right now. The results are broken down into active listings for single family homes, condos, mobile homes, total urban and suburban homes for sale, rural homes, rural land and total rural homes and properties for sale. The bottom of the chart shows the total number of homes and properties for sale in the Calgary MLS listings.
Average List Price
The "average list price" column shows the sum of all Calgary property sales divided by the number of sales. The results are broken down into active listings for single family homes, condos, mobile homes, rural homes and rural land.
Median List Price
The "median list price" column shows the price right in the middle of all the listings, with the exact same number of houses for sale at a higher price as there are houses for sale at a lower price. The results are broken down into active listings for single family homes, condos, mobile homes, rural homes and rural land.
