This SE inner city neighbourhood is Calgary’s most ancient community with history going back to the late 1800s. The Bow River encompasses the area to the north and east, the Elbow River to the south and CPR Yard to the west. One public school serves the area. Inglewood is home to many shops and boutiques and part of the community is industrial with majority being residential. Inglewood has many attractions other than the trendy shops and restaurants and cafes. The bird sanctuary is located in the area; Fort Calgary is located north of the Bow River along with the Calgary Zoo. There is a Wildlands Park and Golf and Curling Club along the eastern portion of the neighbourhood. Nose Creek Park is located across the Bow River.
