Aspen Woods - The Outside Community Inside Calgary
Posted by Justin Havre on Tuesday, October 16th, 2012 at 8:01pm.
Aspen Woods is one of Calgary's most valued treasures with a quiet community and open space galore. It's a new community that's just starting its rapid development. In 2001 it started to take form and by 2004 only 280 people lived in the area. Today you'll find at least 2000 people living here with more being added on a regular basis.
The neighborhood away from the city
Aspen Woods is located in the western part of Calgary offering stunning mountain views while remaining close enough to downtown for a quick commute. You'll be a part of a type of rural setting while remaining as a city resident. It's a perfect balance between city and country life and that's why this neighborhood has been one of the fastest growing communities in Calgary.
The cost of living with a mountain view
You can pick up a condo in Aspen Woods for approximately $300,000 but if you're looking for a single-family home you'll need to dig a little deeper with homes averaging over $1 million. If you're in the market for something a little more luxurious there are amazing luxury single-family homes available throughout the neighborhood priced at $2 million or more.
As you’re driving through the area you'll notice high-end cars in the parking lots of boutiques and specialty food delis. Neighborhood residents can head to Blush Lane Organic Market to buy organic produce, meat and cheese and then pull into Cobs Bread to pick up some freshly baked goods. There are many specialty shops mixed in with regular amenities to satisfy anyone's budget or taste.
If you're interested in this type of lifestyle check out the variety of townhomes, condominiums and single-family homes in this neighbourhood on the Calgary MLS® listings. When you're looking for a refuge from the city but still want to be close enough to enjoy all the action and activity that Calgary offers Aspen Woods is the perfect affluent community to call home.
