If you are you may want to take some lessons from the Calgary family in Rocky Ridge that expects to have more than 7000 monsters and ghouls pass through their home this Halloween. The Campbell's, Myrna, Ian and their older daughter Christine help to spread the spirit of Halloween by dressing up their home lavishly for the holiday. It takes a volunteer team about 800 hours to put it all together and the decorations are set up not only inside but in the two-story garage, the backyard, the side yard and the driveway.
The house is open to spooktacular visits on October 27, 28th and 31st. If you have little ones that scare easily there is a special afternoon version taking place on the 28th.
Expect to see all sorts of haunting activity inside and outside this home that can scare even the strongest adults. Ghosts, witches, zombies and black cats are on the prowl around the house and you'll never know when one will cross your path next. With at least 40 actors appearing in various scenes of the action you'll never know where to turn next. This year's theme is about a zombie apocalypse that has overrun Calgary. Ooh!
You can enter this house of horrors by making a donation of cash, food that will be distributed to the Calgary food bank or make a donation in the way of cat food, litter or dog food that will be handed out to Oops-a-Dazy Rescue to help abused animals. Donations in the suggested amount of approximately $10 for each person that is arriving are graciously accepted.
You can visit this haunted house at 222 Rocky Ridge Bay NW and it's well worth the visit. For more information about this Halloween home you can go to hauntedcalgary.com. It's for a good cause, the excitement is extreme and the screams are available at no extra cost!
